About Bishop Muzorewa
Bishop Abel Tendekayi Muzorewa was the first African bishop of the United Methodist Church and served as the Prime Minister of Zimbabwe‑Rhodesia in 1979, leaving a lasting mark as both a spiritual and national leader.
The Bishop A. T. Muzorewa Evangelism Foundation (BATMEF) carries forward his vision by strengthening education, healthcare, and leadership training, while empowering underprivileged communities in Zimbabwe.
Through mentorship, service, and advocacy, BATMEF honors his legacy of compassion, empowerment, and holistic ministry.
